Courses

Courses can be very helpful, especially if you have no prior knowledge of art. A skilled teacher can educate you about the basics of art appreciation, techniques, history and much more.

 

When taking Bob Ross wet on wet style of painting - Make sure you teacher is a certified Bob Ross Instructor.

 

Courses I have attended with Well Known Artist

I have had the priviledge and honor to paint two weeks with Dana Jester, former Bob Ross Teacher Trainer, and personal close friend of the late Bob Ross.

If you ever have the opportunity to paint with Dana..... it is like meeting the kind of great man Bob was.  Dana is full of stories and adventures he had with Bob and Steve Ross

 

I was honored to paint several days with Gary Jenkins, from the PBS show Beauty of Oil Painting.  Gary is a fabulous teacher and artist.

 

My certification classes were taught by some great Bob Ross artist and Teacher Trainers, the late Pat Mabe, Ellen Tye, Carol Bernard and wonderful Wildlife artist Bea Cox.  I was very fortunate by having these teacher trainers.  Pat was the absolute best and had lots of great stories of her times with Bob Ross.  Pat shared all of her knowledge and held nothing back.

 

But of course, I have to thank Norma Moore, Bob Ross certified instructor for sharing the Joy of Painting in the beginning (1994).

 

 

My greatest friend and fellow artist was

my Dad, Norman Mitchell Sr. 

 If it had not been for him encouraging me to take that first lesson (with him), I would not be where or who I am today.
